We are looking for reliable, energetic, and enthusiastic Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians for both Part-Time and Full-Time work (after a few months, once caseload is established).
This is a great position for those that are college students pursuing Psychology, Human/Child Development, Speech and Language Pathology, social work, early childhood education, or paraprofessionals in school districts.
Responsibilities:
- A Behavior Technician implements programs based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) that are designed and developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. These programs may target goals in the client’s home, our clinic, and community setting. The goals would be individualized to each client and would focus on teaching language development, play skills, self-help skills, and social interactions, and reducing dangerous or maladaptive behavior. The Behavior Technician would also collect accurate data on the client’s goals throughout the therapy session.
Minimum Requirements:
- High-School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
- State licensure required for Washington - (training requirements supplied by DBS)
- Pass a national criminal background check
- Willingness to work with clients engaging in challenging behaviors including physical aggression and ability to follow through with outlined treatment plan - training and support provided by DBS
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and complete necessary requirements specific to the client on a daily basis
Pay/Benefits:
